WHAT IS SMP?
SKALP INK MICROPIGMENTATION CAN HELP YOU
Here at Skalp Ink, we pride ourselves on our clients being able to leave our studio with not only a restored look but also restored confidence.
Scalp micropigmentation (also known as SMP) is the number one non-surgical solution to hair loss for men and women. It is suitable for anyone suffering from alopecia, those wanting to camouflage an unwanted scar, or simply wanting their hairline completely restored.
It is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that offers minimal downtime. It is also much more cost-effective than other hair loss solutions, such as a hair transplant.

FAQ's
After around three treatment sessions, you will be able to see the best results. The time between the first and second treatment allows for healing, where you can see the color and shade, then have the opportunity to increase the density. The final session allows us to put the finishing touches to your new hairline. On average, SMP will take between three to five hours for each session.
The level of pain differs from person to person, with some claiming they had no pain, and others benefiting from paracetamol to make it less uncomfortable. Some claim traditional tattooing hurts more.
Although SMP is not designed as a hair replacement treatment, it can actually promote hair growth as it creates more blood circulation within the scalp, so it certainly won’t damage any existing hair, rather it may encourage hair growth.
